After a decisive acceleration on the Muur van Geraardsbergen, the Opening Classic was decided in a two-up sprint. European champion Demi Vollering proved the fastest, beating Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney convincingly to take the win. Dutch champion Lorena Wiebes was best of the chasing group to secure third place.
