Ghent

Anyone living in or around Citadelpark or the centre of Ghent is advised to come by foot. That way you won’t need to look for a parking space or for an available bike parking slot. The Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station is also within walking distance of ’t Kuipke.

A quick and cheap way to get to Omloop het Nieuwsblad is by bike. Searching for the best route? Consult the cycle route planner and mark out your route quickly and easily. In the Gustaaf Den Duytsdreef, close to the start zone, we provide ample bicycle parking.

You can find all information and timetables on www.delijn.be/gent. On Saturday 1 March, all normal travel tickets such as season tickets or a Lijnkaart apply.

Ghent can be easily reached by train from many towns and cities. The Gent-Sint-Pieters station is within walking distance of ’t Kuipke. Plan your journey via www.belgianrail.be.

Please note that, since 1 January 2020, the low emission zone has been implemented in Ghent! Click here for more info. The traffic situation has also changed somewhat, so keep an eye on the website in good time for diversions and road works.  

Park your car in a car park in your neighbourhood and then switch to the public transport of De Lijn. You can also park in the following car parks (paid!): Savaanstraat, Sint-Pietersplein, Zuid, Kouter, Gent-Sint-Pieters station. You can find more information about parking in Ghent here. We advise against parking in residential zones.

Ninove

The finish on the Elisabethlaan is easy to reach on foot from the centre of Ninove.

Are you sporty yourself? Great. Do as the riders do and cycle to the finish! You can use the bicycle parking in the sports hall car park in the Parklaan.

Coming by bus? De Lijn is adjusting some stops in Ninove. You can find all information and timetables on www.delijn.be/ninove. On Saturday 28 February, all normal travel tickets such as season tickets or a Lijnkaart apply.

Travelling by train to Ninove? Via Stationsstraat, Biezenstraat, Beverstraat and Centrumlaan, you can easily reach the finish at the Elisabethlaan on foot. Plan your journey via www.belgianrail.be.

You can reach the centre via Preulegem. Keep an eye out for diversions.

Parking is free at the station or at the Mallaardparking. For 4 euros, you can park for a whole day closest to the finish zone in the Ninia Shopping Center car park on the Vuurkruisersstraat. The parking places on the Dr. Frans Hemerijckxplein and the car park at the Hartencollege on the Onderwijslaan are reserved for the Omloop het Nieuwsblad organisers.
