The cycling circus is coming to Flanders!
It is a nice tradition: with the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad the start of the cycling season in Belgium sets off. The racers show themselves for the first time this season on Belgian roads in their new teamoutfits.
This race is a one-day race 'Hors Catégorie' on the Continental racecalender and is organized by the UCI. The competitors are all Men Elites. The track is challenging and contains all what makes Flanders a special place to race. Three-time winner Peter Van Petegem selected the track, he chose nine hills and nine cobblezones.
Start and finish of this amazing race is the giant Saint-Pieterssquare in Ghent.
